About Journeyman

Journeyman is a free daily trivia game for football fans. Each day there's one mystery footballer, and your only clue is the story every player writes whether they mean to or not: their career path. First club, the loan spells, the big move, the twilight transfer — revealed one stop at a time, six guesses to name them.

The idea comes from a simple observation: football fans don't just remember players, they remember journeys. You might forget how many goals someone scored in 2011, but you remember that they had that one weird season in Russia. That detail is the game.

There are two puzzles every day — the Daily, featuring players most fans will know, and ⚡ Hard, a deeper cut for people whose knowledge extends past the highlight reels. A new pair drops at midnight, local time. No account, no download, no cost.

Journeyman is an independent, fan-made project built and maintained by one person. Player career information is compiled from publicly available sources and reviewed for accuracy, including after each transfer window. Spot an error in a career path? Tell us — corrections ship fast.
